Men are invited to a one-day gathering on Saturday, Aug. 29, hosted by Faith Bible Fellowship Church of York in Windsor, Pa.
Our speaker for the day will be Matthew R. Lynskey, Ph.D., a missionary, churchman, and theological educator. He serves as Executive Director of the Noble Collective, a church-based missionary society focused on forming faithful churches and disciples across cultures.
Matthew has served in a wide range of ministry roles, including cross-cultural missionary work, preaching pastor, church planter, theological educator, and Bible translation training. He is also an author of several works in theology and spiritual formation, including Tyconius’ Book of Rules (Brill, 2021) and Sacred Markings (Noble Imprint, 2021). His forthcoming work, Passage: Crossing Thresholds in the Sojourn of Life, explores the role of rites of passage in Christian discipleship and formation.
He currently serves as an elder and teaching pastor in a network of house churches in York, Pa., where he lives with his wife, Sukey, and their seven children.
Theme for the Day
The gathering will focus on two main areas:
- Biblical masculinity and the calling of men in the home and church
- Forming the next generation through intentional discipleship, including rites of passage and threshold moments in the Christian life
- A concluding open Q&A with the speaker
Schedule (9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
The morning will include teaching sessions, fellowship over lunch, and time for discussion and questions. The day will conclude around 1:30 p.m.
This will be a simple, focused time together—grounded in Scripture, aimed at strengthening men to lead faithfully in their homes, churches, and callings.
